Definition

You have two options when you create IDocs for a delta load:

• Gross Message: The system always sends all data on a given material.
• Net Message: The system sends only those segments in an IDoc that contain fields that were changed since the last extraction. The system also sends segments that are higher up the hierarchy. This can reduce the size of the messages you create.

Use

Select the required message scope. In the case of net messages, the GDS Console must be able to process net messages. If the GDS Console can process these messages, you should send net messages when you want to transfer data after an initial load.
