Documentation
Definition
Uniquely identifies the execution of a program. This external ID uniquely identifies a single or mass run for each application type.
Use
If a mass run has been terminated or is ready for postprocessing, you can restart the run with the run ID.
The relevant report for the mass run indicates this restart with a message and locks values on the selection screen that cannot be changed.
There is no separate report for restarting.
Dependencies
The external run ID is no longer valid once the mass run has been completed. The system automatically deletes administration data for successful mass runs.
You can use an external identifier if needed for different application types in parallel processing.
If you do not enter any data for the identifier, the system uses the number range interval 01 from number range object BANK_RUNNR to determine the identifier. (The main memory buffer is active for the object meaning that there may be gaps between the numbers determined. )
