Documentation
Definition
Date on which you edit the formula.
Use
You can edit formulas either on the key date or using a change number. Formulas are made up of several change objects (for example, formula header, material items, and substance items) whose change states may deviate from each other. When you edit formulas with a key date, note the following:
- When you create a formula, all edited objects are valid as of the key date.
- When you display or change an existing formula, the system loads the change state of each object that is valid on the key date. Changes that you make without a change number are valid for the entire validity period of the relevant change state.
The default value for the key date is the current date. If you enter both a key date and a change number on the initial screen, the formula is edited using the change number. The valid-from date of the change number is used as the key date.
