Definition
Indicates that the formula produces a chemical reaction.
Use
You set this indicator using the relevant pushbutton on the Quantities tab page under Control Indicators.
You differentiate between the following reaction categories:
- Standard reaction
- Formula-specific reaction
In Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Define and Assign Values to Environment Parameters, you use the FRML_REACTION_TYPE environment parameter to specify which reaction category the system uses when you characterize a formula as a reaction or whether you can select the reaction category.
Dependencies
In Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Specify Formula View Parameters, you specify whether you can enter compositions manually for formulas with a reaction. We recommend, however, that you enter compositions in the substance of the primary output.
In the formula consistency check in the standard system, you must manually set formulas in which a reaction takes place as consistent. The system cannot perform an automatic consistency check in this case.
