Definition
Defines which price is used for costing.
Use
When you open the Costs formula view, the system determines the costs of the primary output. To do this it uses the prices of the inputs. You can specify before costing which of the following prices the system should use for the individual inputs:
- Price from the material master (material price)
- Estimated price from the property tree of the substances (substance price)
- Price entered in the formula (manual price)
Dependencies
When you open the Costs formula view, the system uses the prices for costing in accordance with the priorities you defined in Customizing for Recipe Management under Specify Price Priorities. If the price with the highest priority is not available for an input, the system uses the price with the next highest priority. The Override Price Sel. function allows you to change the price priority for selected items. Price priorities that have been changed are not saved. This means that if you exit the Recipe Workbench, your changes to the price priorities are deleted. For more information, see SAP Library for the Recipe Management component under Costing.
