Documentation
Definition
Identifies a material or substance item in a formula subview.
Use
You use the item number to determine the sequence of material or substance items within the subview. Depending on the type of item, note the following:
- Standard item
Each item to which you assign a new item number is automatically created as a standard item. Once there are alternatives for it, it is given the @KF@ (Alternative Items Exist) indicator.
- Alternative item
You define an alternative item by assigning the same item number to it as the standard item that belongs to it. You can use the @AA@ (Change Standard Item) function to later switch standard and alternative items.
- Group item
Group items are generated without an item number. You can use the @9B@ (Change Leading Item) function to later turn a group item into the leading material item. It is then given the item number of the old leading item.
Dependencies
Depending on your Customizing settings, certain fields may be locked for input depending on the item type. In alternative items, the value of the field is then transferred from the standard item. In group items it is transferred from the leading item. In standard items, the field remains empty.
When you copy or delete a standard item, the system also copies or deletes its alternative items.
You can copy or delete a group item only together with its leading material item. You cannot change its material number.
For information about further aspects you need to take into account, see Formula View Generation.
