Documentation
Definition
Indicates whether, when generating distribution orders, the system should check if distribution orders already exist.
Use
Set this indicator if you want to avoid distributing a specific quantity of a material more than once.
Do not set this indicator if you take other organizational measures to ensure that this does not happen. When the distribution orders are confirmed, the system still checks, however, if you have allocated more to a particular recipient as you gave them during the adjustment of the distribution.
Example
Assume you select the indicator. Also assume you have a quantity for one recipient only in each case.
1st distribution order
Assigned quantity Quantity in open distribution orders
100 BOX 0 BOX
You can generate a distribution order for maximum 100 boxes. Assume you now generate a distribution order for 75 boxes.
2nd distribution order
Assigned quantity Quantity in open distribution orders
100 BOX 75 BOX (from 1st order)
You can now generate a distribution order for maximum 25 boxes. If you do not set this indicator, you could still generate a distribution order for 100 boxes. In this case, you would receive an error message when you confirm the second distribution order (if you confirm both orders without any differences).
