Definition
Specifies the name of the system (system alias) that has been determined for the back-end system in the portal, in which the report or transaction is to be called.
Use
Dependencies
In most cases, the system alias in the portal is not defined in the back-end system. Consequently the system is unable to check the correctness of your entry. If the alias entered is not correct, an error message is issued in the portal when you call the report or transaction. The input help for the system alias displays system aliases that have already been used when the launchpad was set up. When you create a new application, the last system alias to be entered for this launchpad is pre-entered in this field.
Note:
The name of the back-end system does not have to match the system alias in the portal.
