- Optional: The planer does not have to process the substep in order to complete a step or phase.
- Must be processed before completion of the scenario: the planer must process the substep before a processor can complete the phase and release his work.
- Mandatory only for following planning steps: The planer must process the substep before he can begin with the next step.
- Mandatory only for following substeps: the planner must process the substep before he can begin with the next substep.
