Definition
Number of workdays for which you wish to aggregate schedule lines according to the planning calendar when creating scheduling agreement releases.

Use
When you generate a release, all schedule lines falling within the periods specified in the planning calendar are aggregated and shown as the required quantity as per the first day of the period.
Examples
You wish to transmit aggregated schedules to your vendor twice-weekly.
You wish to transmit the scheduled quantities for the period Tuesday to Thursday as a schedule containing a single aggregate line on Tuesday.
You wish to transmit the scheduled quantities for the period Friday to Monday as a schedule containing a single aggregate line on Friday.
To achieve this, you have specified in the planning calendar that the start of the period is Tuesday and Friday in each case.
You have the following delivery schedule in your system:

You maintain the planning calendar in Customizing for production under Requirements planning -> Master data -> Maintain planning calendar.
