Definition
In cross-company code posting, determines which of the posting data items are transferred to subledger items.
Use
If the transfer document is not specific to one company code (company code indicator = 'X'), you must mark at least one of the items as subledger indicator = 'X'. As a result, the posting data items whose indicators are blank will be posted as G/L items while those items with a marked indicator will be posted as subledger items.
