Definition

Use

Value adjustment documents are divided into two categories:

  • Value increase

Value increases increase the amount of the referenced earmarked funds item without changing the earmarked funds document iteself. A value increase accordingly commits more budget.

If a value increase is subject to an approval procedure, the earmarked fund will not make these funds available for other documents (such as invoices) until the value increase is approved.
  • Value decrease

A value decrease decreases the amount of a referenced earmarked funds item without the earmarked funds document itself being changed. As a result, the other documents can only reduce the earmarked fund by an accordingly reduced amount.

If an amount decrease is subject to an approval procedure, the amount of the value decrease will not be returned to the budget until the value decrease has been approved.

Procedure

Set this indicator if you want to create a value decrease or approve one.
