Definition

This indicator specifies the role of a budget address in a cover group to which this address is assigned in a cover eligilbility rule. These roles are subdivided into receiver, sender or sender and receiver roles as follows:

  • " " (blank) or Receiver & Sender. When using this role, a budget address can receive budget from other budget addresses of the cover group and can also share (or send) its budget with other budget addresses. In manual cover groups, the budget address may be the sender or the receiver of budget in the budget process Transfer CE. In an automatic cover group, this role identifies the budget addresses which share some of their budget and their budget consumption with other budget addresses of the same cover group.
  • "R" or Receiver. A budget address assigned this role can receive budget from other members of the cover group, but never shares its budget with them. Here there are the following options:
    • In a manual cover group, a receiver address only acts as a receiver of budget in the budget process Transfer CE, but never as a sender.
    • In an automatic cover group, a receiver can consume the budget of other members of the cover group, but cannot authorize others to consume its budget.
  • "S" or Sender. A budget address using this role can provide (or send) its budget to other members of the cover group, but never receives budget from others in order to cover its budget consumption. Here also, a distinction is made between manual and automatic cover groups:
    • In a manual cover group, a sender address can only act as a sender in the budget process Transfer CE, but never as a receiver of budget.
    • In an automatic cover group, a sender can share its budget with other members of the cover group, but cannot use the budget of others to cover its budget consumption.
