Indicator for the derivation of budget addresses
Procedure
For a budget version, you can specify whether the derivation strategy for deriving budget addresses from posting addresses should be used. You specify the derivation strategy for an FM area and fiscal year at the version-independent level.
- If you do not set this indicator, the relationship between a posting and a budget address is 1:1.
- If you set the indicator, the derivation strategy for the FM area and fiscal year level is used.
Set the indicator if you need to access the posting addresses for a given budget address, for reporting or fiscal year change purposes, by using the budget structure index. This index is always created via the derivation strategy, which you assigned at the version-independent level.
SAP recommends that you set this indicator in order to obtain better transparency of the assignments of budget addresses to posting addresses.
Note
This indicator is set by default when you create a new version-dependent entry. You can remove the indicator if necessary.
