If you set this indicator you have to enter a fiscal year, when maintaining the assignment FM account account assignment to CO account assignment, from which the assignment is meant to be valid.
When posting a document in other components (e.g. Financial accounting and Controlling) the system checks the as-of year on account of the posting date of the documents.
If you do not set this indicator an assignment is valid for all fiscal years.
