Definition

When creating a commitment item, you define the commitment item category. You also have the option of assigning the attribute of the commitment item type to the commitment item.

If you checkmark this field, a check is run in the request processing transactions to see if the combination of commitment item category and request type is permitted.

Example

• You have checkmarked this field for commitment item type "1". If an acceptance request for the commitment item of the type "3" (that is, an expenditure item) and of commitment type "1" is then to be entered, then a (customizable) error message is issued.
  
• You have not checkmarked this field for commitment item type "1". You can then enter both payment requests and acceptance requests for a commitment item of the type "3" (that is, an expenditure item) and of the commitment item type "4".
