Documentation
Definition
Stipulates that:
- payments that take place in a bank or check clearing account predefined with a commitment item with Financial transaction 80 are documented in Funds Management
- the status for down payments is converted.
Use
Update Financial Transaction 80 for Check Clearing
If you set this indicator, payments made via a bank or check clearing account predefined with a commitment item with Financial Transaction 80 are also documented in the FM document. Such payments are recorded as statistical payment records using special amount type Paid Check Clearing (0260).
When clearing posting line items in the bank clearing account with a single bank posting item on a 1:1 basis, the statistical payment record is reversed and the invoice is converted to amount type Paid (0250).
If you activate this function, you should only predefine bank clearing accounts with a commitment item with financial transaction 80, if:
- the payment posting of a bank posting can be assigned clearly and the payment and bank posting match each other 1:1
- the monitoring of "pending" payments not only has to take place in the bank clearing accounts, but also in Funds Management
Otherwise, you should predefine the check and bank clearing accounts with a commitment item with financial transaction 90. These are updated in Funds Management with amount type Paid (0250). However, it will then not be clear in the FM document whether payments have been made via a bank clearing account.
Converting Payment Status for Down Payments
In the standard system, down payments are updated in Funds Management with amount type Original (0100). If you set this indicator, down payments are converted to amount type Paid (0250). The prerequisite for this conversion is that the check and bank clearing accounts are predefined with a commitment item with financial transaction 80 and the bank accounts are predefined with a commitment item with financial transaction 90.
This conversion is made as soon as the bank clearing line item for the down payment is cleared with a bank posting.
