Use
If you set this indicator, you can have a separate display in the information system (line item reports) for follow-on document items whose precursor items were posted in the previous year or carried forward into the new fiscal year as part of the commitment carryforward.
The line items are either flagged through inheritance between document chains or through the commitment carryforward.
Procedure
Examples
An invoice from 2003 is carried forward to 2004. The commitment carryforward flags the invoice in 2004. A payment entered in 2004 and referencing this invoice "inherits" this flag.
Dependencies
If you also use the Use commitment to define flag, the commitment carryforward also reads the commitment documents items on inheriting the carryforward level.
