Definition
The field Flight: Maximum Number of Airline Carriers shows how many airlines can be included in the filter for each filtered flight availability query.
The reservation system can only process a maximum of two airlines per availability query. If the filter for a flight leg contains more than two airlines, an additional availability query is completed.
This field allows you to limit the number of flight availability queries. This is useful, as each additional query reduced system performance and increases response times.
The entries have the following meanings:
No limit there is no limit on the number of airlines for filtered availability queries.
Max. Number = 1,2,3,...9 The number of airlines for the filtered availability query is limited to the corresponding number (1 to 9)
The standard setting for this field is No limit
Note
If the maximum number of airlines for a flight route is exceeded, the system reaction depends upon the setting in field Flight: Filter Strategy for Availability Queries
This field allows you to totally switch off the filter, or to complete the filter with only the first x number of airlines, where x corresponds to the number entered above (1 to 9).
