Definition
Set this indicator to correct outliers in the historical data on which the forecast is based.
An outlier is an historical value that lies outside the tolerance lane. The system calculates this tolerance lane on the basis of the Sigma factor. It then corrects historical values that lie outside the upper or lower band of this tolerance lance so that they correspond to the upper or lower tolerance limit at that point in time.
Both the original historical values and the automatically corrected historical values are displayed online.
Procedure
If you set this indicator, make sure a sigma factor has also been defined in the foreast profile. The default sigma factor is 1.0.
Examples
Dependencies
If you run the forecast online, historical data that has been automatically corrected by this function is indicated in column "C" of the Forecast: Historical Values dialog box.
