Definition

Determines whether or not the direct predecessor and successor operations are to be displayed for the selected operations in the output list in each case.

Use

  • If you set the Determine Predecessor/Successor indicator, predecessor and successor operations are read from the database. If only one direct predecessor or successor exists, the data for this predecessor or successor operation is adopted in the relevant fields of the output list. For this evaluation, the new standard layout for predecessors/successors 000000000004 is offered. This layout has the advantage that all predecessor/successor information is displayed in the list. If you use a different layout and want to display this information, you must change the layout of the operation list that is outputted by adopting the following columns from the column set:
    • Order Number of Predecessor/Successor
    • Operation Number of Predecessor/Successor
    • Operation Text
    • Order Sequence
    • System Status
    • Quantities
    • Work Center with Work Center Description
    • Dates
    • In the case of the predecessor operation, the system displays the end dates. In the case of the successor operation, the system displays the earliest and latest start dates.

In the case of several (parallel in time) direct predecessors or direct successors, only the corresponding field System Status of the output list is adopted with a reference to several predecessor or successor operations. Setting the indicator can lead to performance problems.

  • If you do not set this indicator, no predecessor or successor operations are read from the database..
