Documentation
Definition
Number that uniquely identifies a plant group as a class within the class system. Plant groups are defined using the class types 030 (plants) and 035 (site hierarchy). In addition to plants, you can also assign plant groups to other plant groups.
Use
Plant groups are used in SAP Retail in order to simplify or accelerate the workings of plant-level-related functions. Plant groups are not, however, used as a data retention level.
