Definition
Bundles line items to journals to ensure a consistent replication in the views. All document line items always belong to the same tranche.
Normally, the tranche is assigned automatically during the update of the Accounting Engine. The documents then belong to the currently valid default tranche. The default tranche changes as soon as the Accounting Engine receives a data request of a view.
In special cases, when logically related data is updated in multiple Logical Units of Work (LUWs), an explicit tranche can be assigned because of the inseparability of the data.
