Definition

Summary of criteria that determine the scope of the exploded prduct structure.

Use

The standard system expands in the maximum scope.
You can use a filter to choose data that:

  • is necessary for the current processing situation and
  • you want to process within the product structure

You can improve performance greatly by restricting the data to be processed, especially when structures are very complex.

Procedure

You can determine for each object type (for example, class, document, change number, material) which objects and relations you want to be read within the product structure.

Examples

You can define the filter F-1, for example, to expand only one class network, document hierarchy and engineering change hierarchy. When you activate filter F-1 you can only create these three objects as

initial objects.

Dependencies

These filters are saved as user-specific private filters.

  • If you create a filter and no other filters exist, then this filter is automatically active.
  • If you have defined several filters you can activate one filter.
