Definition
If you choose the Formula pushbutton, the system displays an entry screen for one or two interest calculation formulas, with three or variables, dependent on your entries for the interest rate. You can enter fixed values or interest references as variables for the formulas. The formulas are predefined by SAP and cannot be changed.
Use
If only one formula is available, the system goes directly to the entry screen so that you can enter values for the variables. If both formulas are available, you must specify the formula that you want to use to calculate the interest rate.
On the entry screen, you can change the existing values for the minimum and maximum interest rates, or replace them with reference interest rates.
You can define a fixed value or an reference reference for every variable of the formula. If you defined an interest reference in condition determination as the basis for the interest rate calculation, this value is entered already as the first variable of the formula. You can replace the value with another interest reference or a fixed value.
When you confirm your entries to create the formula, the formula replaces the previous entries in the condition and the interest rate is calculated based on your settings.
Note
- You can enter values in formulas for interest conditions only.
- You can create reference interest rates in the Customizing activity Define Reference Interest Rates, and edit them from the SAP Easy Screen under Account Management -> Current Settings -> Financial Conditions -> Reference Interest Rates -> Edit Reference Interest Rates
Examples
- Formula with three variables V1 * V2 + V3:
- V1 = 2.5
- V2 = LIBOR (2.0% variable)
- V3 = -2.0
- Formula: 2.5 * 2.0 - 2 = 3.0%
- Formula with four variables V1 * V2 - V3 * V4:
- V1 = EURIBOR (2.0 variable)
- V2 = Prime Rate (3.0 variable)
- V3 = LIBOR (2.0 variable)
- V4 = 1.5
- Formula: 2.0 * 3.0 # 2.0 * 1.5 = 3.0
