Definition
Controls processing of a rule in the condition set of rules.
Use
You select the rule category in the Edit Condition Group transaction if you want to create a a rule in the condition set of rules while editing the standard conditions on the Set of Rules tab page.
Dependent on the settings that you made on the Set of Rules tab page for the permitted replacement categories, you can choose from the following characteristic values for the rule category.
- ' ' - rule category for complete replacement
If you have set the Complete Replacement Allowed checkbox, you can create a rule for complete replacement.
- X - rule for absolute markup
If you have set the Absolute Markup Allowed checkbox, you can create a rule for absolute markup.
- Y - rule for relative markup
If you have set the Relative Markup Allowed checkbox, you can create a rule for relative markup.
- Z - rule for selective replacement
If you have set the Selective Replacement Allowed checkbox, you must create a rule for selective replacement.
Dependencies
A condition set of rules can consist of time-dependent rules. You cannot define several rules that are valid at the same time for a rule category.
A rule consists of:
- Rule category
- Valid-from date (obligatory)
- Field settings
The creation of a set of rules is obligatory for rule category Rule for Selective Replacement only.
