Documentation

Users of the Financial Calculator component should note the following features:

  • If you are using interest calculation method 360/360, the system converts this internally into interest calculation method 360E/360 without extending the month of February.
  • The following applies if you are using interest calculation method 360E/360:
    • In the Account Management application, the system extends the month of February to 30 days. In Customizing under Financial Services -> Account Management -> Product Management -> Financial Conditions -> Define Calculation Method for February Month End for 360E/360, you define how the system handles the month-end balance.
    • In the Bank Analyzer application, the system also extends the month of February to 30 days. The system always includes the balance on the last day in February when it calculates the interest for February, meaning that interest is calculated on this balance for the extra days. The system does not include the balance on the last day when it calculates the interest for settlement postings.
    • Note that this applies only to products that are calculated by the system in the Financial Calculator component (for example, Account Management accounts). Bank Analyzer also calculates some products directly in the Financial Mathematics component. These special features do not apply in this case.
