Definition

Specifies how the system handles correspondence requests for individual conditions in condition processing of the application.

Use

The field has the following values:

  • Hide indicator (#H')

In condition maintenance, the indicator for correspondence creation is hidden and no correspondence is created.

  • Indicator set ('X' )

In condition maintenance, the indicator for correspondence creation has the default value 'X'. Correspondence is generated. You can change the indicator unless the field has been defined as not changeable in the set of rules.

  • Indicator not set (' ')

In condition maintenance, the indicator for correspondence creation has the default value ' '. No correspondence is generated You can change the indicator unless the field has been defined as not changeable in the set of rules.

The system creates correspondence only if you have defined the correspondence type for the individual conditions in the Customizing settings for the Print Workbench (especially application forms) and for the Correspondence Tool.

Dependencies

In addition to making the settings using the indicator, you use the set of rules to influence the field control of various fields in the individual conditions. However, if you have defined that the correspondence indicator is to be hidden (value 'H'), it is not displayed in the set of rules. Therefore it is no longer possible to overwrite the field control with the set of rules.

As the set of rules are more detailed than Customizing, the default value in the set of rules overwrites the default value in Customizing in other cases (values 'X' and ' ').
