Documentation
Definition
Specifies the processing type of a differentiation category .
Use
The mode of a differentiation category controls the differentiation internally.
Value range
The following values are available:
- 000 Differentiation According to an Exact Match
The system compares the differentiation value with the target value. The condition is used if the target value and the differentiation value in the condition match exactly, for example, differentiation according to a customer property.
- 001 Differentiation According to Value Range
The system compares the differentiation value with the target value. The condition is used if the target value (depending on the comparison operators: lesser than, lesser than or equal to, greater than, greater than or equal to) falls into the interval of the differentiation value in the condition. The system determines the distance between the differentiation value and the target value and uses the differentiation value that is the closest to the target value.
- 010 Time Period Differentiation
In the case of the differentiation categories Term Period or Calendar Period each differentiation value for the condition provides a validity period.
For more information see, An Example of Time Period Differentiation.
- 020 Differentiation According to the Time of Day (Intraday)
Differentiation occurs according to the time of day. Each differentiation value for the condition provides a validity period.
- 030 Differentiation According to the Day of the Week
Differentiation occurs according to the day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, and so on, through Sunday) For example, the condition with the differentiation value Monday is always valid on Mondays.
- 040 Differentiation According to Interest Type
The system differentiates according to the interest type. Define the interest day type in Customizing in your application. The condition is used on certain types of days (such as working days or holidays) Each differentiation value for the condition provides a validity period.
- 090 Differentiation According to Charges
Differentiation is not executed for this processing type. It is used as a technical aid.
