Definition

Specifies the condition determination time of an individual condition. The condition merger determines which condition is retrieved for use in the current period based on the condition determination time.

Use

The following characteristics are possible:

  • 00    Condition determination time same as standard condition

    The system uses the condition determination time of the standard condition as the condition determination time for the individual condition.

  • 01    Use the conditions in the calculation time period

    The system uses the individual conditions that are currently valid and in the database. The standard conditions are overwritten, regardless of the condition determination time.

Dependencies

The condition determination time for individual conditions is defined for each condition type in Condition Type Customizing in your application.

Example

Contract start is on 01/01/07. The condition determination time is the same as the standard condition. Use the conditions at contract start. The standard condition defines the interest rate at 6%. An individual condition of 5% interest is valid from 02/01/07 to 03/31/07 for this contract.

The following applies to the condition determination time for the individual condition:

  • If you set the condition determination time as the standard condition , the individual condition is not taken into account because it was not valid on 01/01/07.
  • If you set Use Conditions in the Calculation Time Period , the individual condition overwrites the standard condition. 5% is charged from 02/01/07 to 03/31/07.
