Definition
Specifies whether a fare-driven availability query in a connected reservation system is possible, and how such a query is performed.
Use
In a fare-driven availability query, you receive a list of the best-priced offers in order of price. If the Active indicator is set, the fare-driven availability query can be started with the Best-Price Flight pushbutton in the Planning Manager.
If you use Travel Planning in the Web front end, the values of the indicator mean the following:
Active The fare-driven availability query can be selected by means of a checkbox
Standard The checkbox is selected as a default, but can be changed by the user
Mandatory A fare-driven availability query is always run
The possible settings for the fare-driven availability query are:
- Inactive
It is not possible for the user to run a fare-driven availability query. The Best-Price Flight pushbutton does not appear in the Planning Manager. - Active, without travel profile check
The fare-driven availability query is active but the assigned travel profile is not applied. - Active, with subsequent travel profile check
The fare-driven availability query is active. After the query, the system checks which flights comply with the user's travel profile and displays the cheapest offers among those flights, in order by price (their priority is also indicated). - Active, with settings for fare-driven availability
The selection criteria that you specify in the Customizing activity Specify Settings for Lowest Fare Search (Fare-Driven Availability Query) are active during the query. The lowest-cost flights from the results are displayed, listed in order of price. - Active, with settings for profile-driven filter
This setting is only recommended for experienced users.
This setting is not supported by the Web application.
The fare-driven availability query is active. Selection criteria can be specified before the query is started. These criteria must comply with the user's travel profile. The user is shown the cheapest offers based on the selection criteria, listed in order of their priority. - Standard, without travel profile check
This entry is only needed for the Web application. The fare-driven availability query is active and is selected as standard, but the travel profile is not applied. - Standard, with subsequent travel profile check
This entry is only needed for the Web application. The fare-driven availability query is active and is selected as standard. After the query, the system checks which flights comply with the user's travel profile and displays the cheapest offers among those flights, in order by price (their priority is also indicated). - Standard, with settings for fare-driven availability
This entry is only needed for the Web application. The fare-driven availability query is active and is selected as standard. Note
If a low-cost carrier consolidator system is connected, it is queried in the fare-driven availability query and the results are displayed together with any results from a global distribution system.
The following settings from the fare-driven availability query are supported for querying low-cost carriers:
- ...with subsequent travel profile check
- ...with settings for fare-driven availability
