Definition

Causes the system to execute a simulation run but not to update the database data.

Use

In a simulation run, all tasks and checks are done as in the actual update run except that the system does not save the results. The simulation run does not affect the data and can be repeated as often as you want.

If you do not set the indicator, the system performs an update run. The data is modified and the database is updated with the results of the report.

Simulation runs permit you to check whether an update run will be successful.
