Point in time serving as a threshold to indicate which older versions of a BRFplus object shall be removed from the database.
Use
With the versioning mode of BRFplus active, every modification to a BRFplus object leads to the creation of a new object version once the modified object has been activated. In the course of time, this may lead to a big number of older versions stored in the database which is not always desired.
If you are sure that some older versions of an object will not be used anymore, and if there are no legal obligations to keep a particular object version available in the system, you can define a date threshold with the help of this field. In a subsequent version deletion process, all versions which are older than the given date will be removed from the database.
Note that removing object versions is an irreversible process.
