Use
When you create a new promise to pay with installments, you can, after choosing an installment plan type, specify the amount of the first installment. The system then adjusts the installment plan correspondingly by creating installments of the same amount.
If you choose Installment Plan with Specified Amount, then the number of installments is found by distributing the promised amount. The promised amount is not adjusted. If it is not possible to distribute the promised amount in full based on the first installment, the system creates a final installment containing the remaining amount.
If you choose Installment Plan with Specified Number of Installments, the system creates as many installments as specified in the installment plan type. The promised amount results from the total of the installment amounts, and is correspondingly adjusted.
