Documentation
Definition
Groups several properties of an installment plan together that you create for a promise to pay with installments. This includes the number of installments, the time interval between them, and their relative size.
Use
The installment plan types that you use in your company are defined in Customizing. They are used as an entry help when you create a promise to pay with installments.
When you create a new promise to pay with installments, you can choose an installment plan type. Starting with the installment plan type, the system distributes the promised amount to the individual installments. The date of the promise to pay with installments is used as the reference date for the due date of the first installment. You can change the due date and the amount of the first installment while still creating the promise to pay with installments. The system then adjusts the remaining installments as appropriate.
