Definition

Use

Specify how you want to transfer depreciation from Asset Accounting to the versions in Controlling:

  • Exclusively to the leading version (valuation 0):

    You choose this option for the Depreciation Area of Asset Accounting to which the leading version has been assigned (as a rule this version depicts the valuation according to group guidelines).

    The system posts as follows: the positive value is posted to the leading version at the same time as the negative value to the additional version. The posting to the leading version does not change the value in the additional version, although technically this is a delta version.

  • Exclusively to valuation 5, 6 or 7:

    You choose this option for the depreciation area of Asset Accounting that contains values according to local accounting principles or other accounting principles.

    The system posts as follows: nothing is posted to the leading version, but only to the additional version.

Example

For depreciation area 01, you choose that the system posts exclusively to the leading Controlling version (valuation according to group guidelines), and for depreciation area 03 you choose that it posts exclusively to the additional version.

Where there is depreciation of 100 Euros according to group guidelines and 120 Euros according to the local accounting principle, the system posts as follows:

    Leading Version    Additional Version (Delta Version)

    100    -100

        +120

Total    100    +20

Depreciation according to local accounting principles is calculated from the 100 Euros of the leading version plus the 20 Euros from the additional version (delta version).
