Definition

Specifies whether the system considers a maximum limit or ignores a particular amount of the charge during the waiver amount calculation.

Use

  • If you do not select the checkbox in condition editing, you either need to fill the Amount or the Percentage field. The system interprets this amount or percentage of the incurred charge as a maximum up to which it can calculate waiver amounts. The bank charges the customer for amounts that exceed this amount.
  • If you have selected the checkbox, you can make the following entries:
    • Fill the Amount field.
    • You fill the Amount and Percentage fields.

      In both cases, the system interprets the amount as a minimum as of which it can calculate waiver amounts. Amounts beneath this are billed if the amount is the same or less than the original debit.

Dependencies

If the checkbox is selected, and there is an amount in the Minimum Amount field in addition to the Amount and Percentage fields, the waiver amount can still be less than the minimum amount. The system can waive no more than the difference between the calculated charge and the amount.

Example

The checkbox is not selected.

Amount = EUR 10, percentage = 50% minimum amount = EUR 25, charge = EUR 30

The system bills EUR 10 and waives EUR 10 = 50%*EUR 20. The minimum amount is not reached.

For more examples of the dependency between the Waiver From and Minimum Amount checkboxes, see SAP Library under Financial Conditions -> Condition Editing -> Editing Condition Groups -> Editing Automatic Waiver Group Box -> Calculation of Waivers.
