Definition

Date used by the system to determine the start date for shifting the first use period for the first settlement period.

Use

In the standard system, the start date of the use period is the same as the start of the settlement period.

However, it is possible to shift the start date of the use period once only by entering a reference date on the Condition Determination tab page.

The following options are available:

  • No reference date

The start date is not shifted.

  • Account opening date

An additional input field (Shift Ref. Date) appears on the Condition Determination tab page. In this field you can enter the number and the time unit by which the system is to shift the start date of the use period from the account opening date.

Dependencies

Example

You want to waive the account maintenance charges for an account for the first two months. There is a condition for account maintenance charges:

  • Settlement period: 3 months (quarter)
  • Use period: 1 month
  • Reference date: account opening date
  • Shift in relation to reference date: 2 months

The system does not calculate a charge for the first two use periods.
