Definition
If you select this checkbox, you enable the system to post the other comprehensive income in the Total Divestiture activity with an effect on net income.
Use
If the Other Comprehensive Income in Total Divestiture function is active, the system posts the group value of the other comprehensive income in total divestiture to the income statement.
Dependencies
Customizing for Other Comprehensive Income
You define the items for Other Comprehensive Income as a subset of the equity items in the following Customizing steps for Consolidation of investments:
- Define Items for Other Comprehensive Income
- Define Offsetting Items for Other Comprehensive Income
When doing this, for each Other Comprehensive Income item you specify the respective posting item in the income statement and the offsetting item.
Other Comprehensive Income in Step Acquisition
In step acquisitions, the system posts the offsetting entry for adjustments to minority interest in other comprehensive income as follows, depending on the setting for Other Comprehensive Income in Step Acquisition:
- As part of the Differential
- As an Adjustment of the Group Value of other comprehensive income
If you select the setting Adjustment of Group Value for the Other Comprehensive Income in Step Acquisition field, then the value of the income statement entry for other comprehensive income in total divestiture is the same as the group share in the investee unit at the time of the total divestiture.
