The system uses this item during the activities Subsequent Consolidation" and "Distribution of Dividends" to record the share belonging to the direct upper units of the scope of reported data of an investee unit that is consolidated using the equity method.
This information is required for other activities (such as divestitures) or also, in the case of special handling of negative investment book values, for further subsequent consolidations.
