Definition

All two-sided elimination entries (interunit elimination, elimination of IU profit/loss) support two apportionment procedures: Minimum Apportionment and Product Apportionment.

These procedures differ when both consolidation units are proportionally included in a consolidation group. For example, during the elimination of IU payables and receivables, the differences are apportioned differently:

  • Minimum apportionment multiplies the difference with the smaller of the two proportions.
  • Product apportionment multiplies the difference with the product of the two proportions.
