Definition
The product group can be used for the elimination of IU profit/loss in inventory in one of two ways:
- You can use the product group as an independent characteristic that is not coded in the transaction data.
- You can use an existing custom characteristic as the product group. This characteristic is then kept in the database as a subassignment for FS items. To do this, you need to define a custom characteristic as data element 'FC_PRGRP'.
This type of product group usage is required in order to read the inventory data from the transaction data (totals database).
