Definition

A period is one of a certain number of accounting periods within a fiscal year. Every business transaction, for example, must be assigned to an accounting period.

Use

An entry here selects only the data for the periods you enter.

Procedure

Enter the periods of the totals records you want to see.

Examples

1. If no periods are entered, the total records for all periods (000 - 016) are displayed.
2. If periods 001 through 012 are entered, the totals records all of these periods are displayed.
3. If period 012 is entered, only the totals records for period 12 are displayed.
4. If you only want to see the results of the carrying forward of balances (i.e., period 000), do the following:
1. Enter period 000.
2. Choose Edit -> Selection options
3. In the next screen, the symbol for single value is already selected as the default. Choose Copy.
   

   You then go back to the selection screen. The single value symbol now precedes period 000. If you now start the program using Program -> Execute, only the totals records concerning the carryforward period are displayed.
