Use

If you select this checkbox, you activate special posting for mergers.

  • In the settings for the consolidation hierarchy, you can select the Total Divestiture due to Merger indicator. In a total divestiture of the investee unit acquired in the merger, consolidation of investments posts to the special Net Income for Mergers item without affecting earnings.
  • For the acquiring investee unit you can enter additional financial data for investment and equity data for the horizontal merger activity. Furthermore, you can create goodwill entries for the vertical merger activity. Except for the use of the merger subitem when posting, the system processes these two merger activities exactly like the activities increase in capitalization and capitalization of manual goodwill.
  • In the master data of the subitems, you can assign a merger subitem to each subitem. The system uses the merger subitem when posting the aforementioned activities in consolidation group changes and consolidation of investments.
