Definition

In the Business Information Warehouse, an InfoCube saves data from a certain area.

Dependencies

An InfoCube is formed according to the star schema. It consists of a fact table, which contains the key figures (for example revenue, sale quantity) and several dimension tables, which contain the characteristics (for example company code, division).

The dimension tables have a generated key field and contain the characteristics in the data part. The generated key fields of all dimensions belonging to InfoCubes, form the key for the fact table.

With the help of update rules, the InfoCubes are filled with data from one or several InfoSources.
