Definition

Determines the valuation allowance procedure to be used for treating goodwill in acquisitions.

Use

When you specify goodwill treatment for direct acquisitions (step acquisitions, increases/reductions in capitalization) or for indirect acquisitions (increases in indirect investment), the system posts a positive differential incurred in these acquisitions according to this setting, regardless of the goodwill treatment defined in the consolidation of investments method.

Dependencies

You can specify only those values for goodwill treatment that are activated in system utilization for consolidation of investments.
