Definition

This field specifies the consolidation frequency that determines the posting period for automatic reversals.

Use

The consolidation frequency defines which posting periods are valid. The system posts automatic reversals to the posting period that follows the current period.

If no consolidation frequency is specified here, the system posts the automatic reversal depending on the current posting period (P) as follows:

1. if P less than 12: the reversal is posted in period P+1 of the same fiscal year
2. if P greater or equal to 12: the reversal is posted in period 1 of the next fiscal year

Dependencies

Specifying a consolidation frequency here makes sense only for document types that post automatic reversals to the subsequent period. For this reason, the system ignores the consolidation frequency if the document type does not post automatic reversals to subsequent periods.
