Definition
The difference strategy determines to which consolidation unit you want to post any differences that occurred during interunit elimination. The system offers the following strategies:
- Strategy 1
The financial statement item set is decisive for the posting of differences. This strategy posts the difference to that unit, which reports data for an FS item belonging to the selected FS item set. You select the FS item set for posting differences in the maintenance of the FS item sets.
- Strategy 2
The lower value of the items being eliminated is decisive for the posting of differences. These are always posted to the unit that reported the lower value.
- Strategy 3
The higher value of the items being eliminated is decisive for the posting of differences. These are always posted to the unit that reported the higher value.
Strategy 1 is set as default.
