Definition
The number of comparison years determines, in how many years, comparisons of transaction data with the same consolidation group hierarchy in BW should be possible. In this case, a comparison year means that the data from the year can only be displayed with consolidation group hierarchies from the same year. In general data can only be displayed with the current or most recent cons group hierarchy. In BW, it is not possible to evaluate transaction data with older cons group hierarchies.
Use
Enter the number of comparison years that you require.
Dependencies
The number of comparison years is proportional to the dataset, which is
transferred to BW.
Example
You have set 2 comparison years. Now in BW you can valuate consolidation transaction data from 1998 with the cons group hierarchies from 1998 aand 1999, that meansa also carry out direct comparisons with the data from 1999, taking into account the cons group hierarchies from 1999.
