Definition

This field defines the maximum amount of holiday (in days) that an employee joining your organisation during the benefits year can buy in the calendar month he or she joins your organisation. In other words, using this field, you set an prorating factor for holiday buying for each joining month of the benefits year.

Example

Your organisation decides that eligible employees can buy or sell up to a maximum of five days holiday during the benefits year, but employees who join the organisation in September can only buy or sell two days in the remainder of the benefits year. Your benefits year lasts from January until December of each calendar year. Therefore, you maintain a buying and selling prorating factor for holiday of five days for January and two days for September in this customising table.
